We lost a couple dear friends yesterday.
For those who saw news of the fireworks truck explosion on Ocracoke Island, NC, most of that crew (and three other crews along the coast of VA, NC, & SC) were from our church. Four of the five were killed, including two who were active in our singles ministry and very dear friends. They both knew the Lord, but we will miss them terribly...



Over the next few months, I will be featuring and highlighting some talented and awesome people here on DA!

You love your lensbaby! What’s been the most enjoyable aspect of this piece of equipment? (And please give us a quick explanation as to what it does!)

"A Lensbaby is a selective focus lens meaning that you can select one area of your photo to be in sharp focus with a gradual blur surrounding the focal point. You select the focal area by bending the lens. I love these lenses so much that I own 2 of them- the Lensbaby 3G and the Lensbaby Composer. What I enjoy about these lenses are that they add a creative element to your photos which is entirely new and different. They're great for when you're in a creative slump! Lensbabies also make for a lot of "happy accidents" so it's a fun tool to use for mindless shooting!"
